The Beauty of Hidden Garden Treasures: Carrots, Beets, Potatoes, and Winter Squash

Hidden Garden Treasures

Some of our favorite crops that we grow are the ones that you can’t see the fruit as it grows like carrots, beets, potatoes or winter squash. As the days get shorter and the nights grow cooler crops like winter squash and pumpkins start showing their wares. You get to finally see the Delicious squash or the Butternut squash as the leaves die back to brown. Potatoes, carrots and beets are the same way, sort of. You really don’t know how big the carrots are until you start digging them up.  We grow orange, purple, yellow, white and shades in between.  I love the hidden treasures of the garden.

The hidden treasures of the garden are a testament to the wonders of the natural world. They remind us of the potential that lies beneath the surface, waiting to be discovered and celebrated.
