Fall is for stocking up for winter

As the squirrels and other animals take the time now for putting away food stock for the long cold winter months, we also should be thinking of sourcing products for our food pantry to utilize for the winter. I have been busy harvesting our winter storage crops and curing them to last as we move into the fall. Winter squash (one of my favorites), potatoes, beets, cabbage, parsnips and carrots. Those crops can be harvested and stored either by drying, preserving or freezing.

For the larger quantities we ask that you let us know before the market so we can have it available for you. Be like a squirrel and put away for the winter months. You can thank me later.
