This is the time of year where we purchase our yearling animals for next year’s harvest. The availability is very short this year so I had to source my Red Devon cattle from two different farms.
I like the new farm I was able to purchase from this year so maybe get more from him next year. Of course every year is a little bit different as far as pricing goes but this year is extremely hard because the price of cattle is very high this year.
Due to the drought the past couple of years in the west and mid west, inventory is down which corresponds to with the increase in price. We will try to keep the our cattle numbers up so we can supply you with the protein you need.
