Eating farm-raised pork is a culinary experience like no other!

The pigs, which are crosses of Old Spot and Large Black, are both considered heritage breeds. They are raised by our Amish neighbor, John Bricker.

Their food source is primarily high quality GMO-free grains.

Pigs love to root and forage in the woods to feast on wild apples and forest debris. By eating plants, instead of grain alone, our pork is full of omega-3’s, which are found in the fat of the meat.

When the pigs are not in the woods, they are housed in a covered barn with plenty of bedding to keep them cozy and comfortable. The Brickers farming practices produce meat that is more flavorful and nutritionally dense than conventionally raised pork.
